Who am I and why am I doing what I am doing?
I'm Liv, and I've spent over a decade working in HR across tech, creative agencies, professional services, veterinary practices, and call centres, from established companies to startups finding their feet.
In that time, I've worked on hundreds of employee relations cases, disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, performance issues, and all the messy, human situations that come up at work. What I love most is taking what feels like an overwhelming problem and breaking it down into something manageable.
Very few of the cases I've handled have ended up at tribunal, not because issues were ignored, but because most workplace problems can be resolved when people understand the process, know their options, and feel supported to handle things calmly.
I'm CIPD Level 7 qualified with a Master's degree in HR Management, and I'm currently completing my coaching qualification. I'm also a trained Mental Health First Aider. I'm empathetic and create a safe space for honest conversations, but I'm also Danish, so I'm direct. I'll be honest with you about what I'm seeing, especially when you need to hear it.
In HR, I mostly supported managers, but I could see there was a gap for employees. Something that sits between handling things alone and needing legal advice. Support that's accessible when you need it, helps people feel prepared and confident facing difficult workplace situations.
That's why I created Klar.
Why Klar? Klar means 'clear' or 'ready' in Danish - which is exactly what I want you to feel after our session. It can also be classed as ‘transparent’, which is an approach I will always have.
When I'm not working, you'll find me:
Spending time with my partner and our funny, chaotic toddler. Listening to music, our LP collection is getting out of hand. Lifting weights at the gym or doing HIIT. Watching football on the sofa or at the stadium. Drawing, painting, reading, going to gigs, or planning our next trip somewhere new.
